PETERSEN MEDIA- Returning to NARC action on Saturday night in Tulare, CA, Chance Grasty and F&F Racing continued to show very good speed as Grasty pocketed a sixth-place finish in the feature event.

“Our night started off really strong, and we had good car speed on a very slick surface,’ Chance Grasty said. “We were in a good spot all night, but we just kind of missed it a little in the feature.”

With 22 cars on hand at Thunderbowl Raceway, the Suisun City, CA driver timed the Bushey Financial Services/C&H Motor Parts/Sierra Single Ply Roofing backed No. x1 entry in fourth fastest in time trials.

Lining up on the front row of his heat race, Grasty got the jump as the field thundered into turns one and two, and never looked back. Picking up the win, Grasty moved into the Dash where his fourth-place finish put him in the second row of the 30-lapper.

Following some track work prior to the feature event, Grasty was able to jump into third in the opening laps despite a few restarts. As the race clicked along and the re work conditions went away, Grasty no long had the drive he needed on a couple of late restarts.

Slipping back to sixth, the track started to take rubber and passing became extremely difficult. Hitting the rubber and staying in line, Grasty closed his night out with a sixth-place finish.

“It is a little disappointing to go backwards in the feature like that, but with the rework of the surface it was just a little bit of a gamble before we pushed out, and it didn’t work out for us,” Grasty added. “Thanks to all my guys for continuing to work so hard and continuing to put a strong car under me.”
