PETERSEN MEDIA- Ashton Torgerson and Three Stooges Racing were back in action with the World of Outlaws over the weekend at Cedar Lake Speedway. During the two-night Independence extravaganza, the Glendale, AZ driver picked up 13^th and 14^th place finishes.

The action kicked off on Friday night where Torgeson timed the Moxzy/Indiana Performance Composites backed No. 51 entry in 22^nd fastest in qualifying time trials.

Finding himself in a early hole, Torgerson lined up eighth in his heat race and needed to pick up a few positions to avoid the ‘B’ Main. From his fourth row starting position, Torgerson got his elbows up and worked his way forward to a fifth-place finish and punched his ticket directly into the feature event.

Moving into the 35-lap finale, Torgerson took the green flag from 13^th starting position and slipped back to 14^th when the race came to life. Running much of the feature event in 14^th, the series rookie moved into 13^th on the 30^th lap, and held on to finish there.

Back for more action on Saturday night, Torgerson got off to a much better start to the night as he timed in 18^th quickest in time trials, and lined up in the sixth starting position of his heat race.

Again, able to move forward in his heat Torgerson raced his way to a fourth-place finish and lined up in the 12^th starting spot of the 35-lap ‘A’ Main.

Running inside the Top-10 for opening 10-laps of the race, Torgerson bounced between ninth and 10^th, until he fell back to 12^th on the 11^th lap. In a hotly contested battle between 12^th and 14^th, Torgerson continued to battle for track position but wasn’t able to get enough momentum built to charge for a spot inside the Top-10.

Settling into 14^th on the 29^th lap, Torgerson went on to cap his weekend off there once the checkered flag flew six laps later.
