PETERSEN MEDIA- Getting in another night of action at Placerville Speedway on Saturday night, Chance Grasty and the F&F Racing team again had a great run as Grasty picked up a third-place finish at the famed bullring.

“It was a decent night for us result wise, but I really think we had a great car,” Chance Grasty said. “We got in some bad situations, but still managed to escape with a third-place finish.”

Drawing early for his time trials slot, Grasty was still able to get down a very strong lap as he timed the Bushey Financial Services/C&H Motor Parts/Sierra Single Ply Roofing backed No. x1 entry in fourth fastest overall.

Running a three-heat format on this night, Grasty’s qualifying time lined him up on the front row of his heat race. Getting a great jump when his heat came to life, Grasty’s got car upset in turns one and two causing him to slip back to second.

Unable to work his way back into the top spot, Grasty missed out on a spot in the redraw and found himself seventh on the starting grid for the 30-lap feature event, which would be the final laps on the track before this weekend’s High Limit event.

Finding himself in sixth before the race came to life, the initial green flag saw Grasty slip back to seventh as he settled in. As the laps clicked off, the Suisun City, CA driver was able to avoid some of the craziness that took place in front of him as he worked his way into fifth.

When the action resumed, Grasty was able to close the race with a very strong green flag run that saw him work his way forward even further as he was able to secure a third-place finish as the Ed Entz checkered flag was displayed to the field.

“It was just one of those nights where I kind of found myself in some bad situations in the feature,” Grasty added. “We had a good car with good speed, and I am hoping we can continue to stay strong during this High Limit Racing swing.”
