PETERSEN MEDIA- F&F Racing and Chance Grasty continued to have a ton of speed at Placerville Speedway as the Susin, CA driver recorded a sixth-place finish for the second consecutive week.

“We continue to put ourselves in good spots to start the night and that goes along way to getting good finishes,” Chance Grasty said. “We made the redraw but I just couldn’t quite get going how I had hoped in the feature but still happy with the results.”

35 cars made their way to Placerville Speedway on Saturday night and Grasty continued to qualify well as he timed the Bushey Financial Services/C&H Motor Parts backed No. x1 mount in third fastest in qualifying time trials.

Lining up on the pole of his heat race, Grasty was hard on the throttle when the green lights flashed and raced into the early lead. Leading the way from start to finish, Grasty’s win locked him into the feature event and also put him in the nightly redraw where the ‘four’ put him in the second row of the 25-lap feature event.

Moving into the Top-Five when the race came to life, Grasty slipped back to sixth when an early restart bunched the field back up. As the race got into a fast paced rhythm, Grasty continued to hold his spot solidly in the Top-10 as he battled with the likes of Tony Gomes and Shane Hopkins.

Looking for a way into the Top-5 in the closing laps of the race, Grasty would be unable to quite get their as he capped the night off with a sixth place finish.

“The feature was trough because with how slick it was I just couldn’t quite get going and felt like I was just a little off,” Grasty said. “The guys have a pretty good idea of what to do when it gets slick that like moving forward, so I am confident we will be even better when the track slows down.”
