Kyle Beilman Gets First Look at Silver Dollar Speedway
PETERSEN MEDIA: Continuing to test the waters in winged 410ci sprint car racing, Kyle Beilman was aboard a Josh Ford Motorsports entry over the weekend as he made his first laps in a sprint car at Silver Dollar Speedway.
“Chico was a great opportunity to get some more seat time and experience on a really demanding race track,” Kyle Beilman said. “As I continue to acclimate to a winged sprint car my goals are to make clean laps, build confidence, and get better each time we hit the track.”
Taking part in the Mini Gold Cup weekend, Beilman got his weekend kicked off Friday night and lined the MPe/SURECAN/Inland Rigging baked No. 73x up in the fifth row of his heat race on a very fast racing surface.
Picking up a couple of positions in his heat, the Los Angeles, CA driver finishing eighth and heading into the 12-lap ‘B’ Main. Lining up sixth, Beilman chased after one of the four transfer berths that were up for grabs, but in his efforts he slipped back and brought his night to a close with a 10th place finish in the ‘B’.
Back in action on Saturday night for the Mini Gold Cup finale that was run under NARC sanction, the LA native battled issues in his heat race and it resulted in him again heading into the ‘B’ Main looking to transfer into the 40-lap feature event.
Lining up in the sixth row of the semi, the slick surface was to Beilman’s liking as he was able to make some headway in the 12-lap affair. Though he was only able to get to eighth and not transfer, Beilman was pleased with the progress made.
“We definitely got better over the weekend, which is huge for me and it gives me confidence moving forward,” Beilman added. “I really want to thank Jimmy, Vinny, and Scotty for all of the hard work they put it. I am fortunate to work with a solid group of guys.”
JFM would like to thank Inland Rigging, MPe, SURECAN, Woodland Auto Display, Beilman Motorsports, and 1Way Technologies for their support in 2025.
BY THE NUMBERS: Races: 3, Wins: 0, Top 5’s: 2, Top 10’s: 0
ON TAP: Beilman and JFM are TBD on their next event.
