Ryan Bernal Scores Non Wing Win During Placerville’s Triple Crown

PETERSEN MEDIA: Staying undefeated in Non-Winged action at Placerville Speedway in 2025, Ryan Bernal picked up the win in the TDR No. 17 car on Saturday night in the USCS portion of the Triple Crown as he also finished 4th in Midget action and 12th in Winged Sprint Car competition.

“It was a really solid night for the team, and it was a lot of fun running all three divisions,” Ryan Bernal said. “We set ourselves up really nicely in the non winged car and the midget, but we just got too far behind in qualifying in the winged car and had to play catch up.”

Timing the TDR No. 17 in third fastest in his qualifying group, Bernal flexed his muscle and pounced into the heat race lead after lining up in the third starting position. Working the bottom the perfection, Bernal won the heat and lined up in the third row of the 25-lap feature event.

Working his way forward in the NOS Energy Drink/Inland Rigging/JFM backed entry, Bernal made a bold move on the 14th lap that saw him take the lead from Tanner Carrick.

With Shane Golobic following him and taking second, the duo battled for the top spot for three laps before Bernal was able to clear him and race off and score the win, giving him three on the season in 2025 at Placerville Speedway with TDR.

Piloting a Kyle Beilman owned Midget, Bernal timed in third quickest in qualifications and raced to a fourth place finish in his heat race. Lining up in the second row of the feature event, the Roseville, CA resident spent much of the race battling with Shane Golobic as they both chased after the Sarale Motorsports lead duo.

When the dust settled on the feature, Bernal took home a fourth place finish.

In the JFM owned NOS Energy Drink No. 73 winged car, Bernal’s night got off to a tough start as he timed in 13th fastest in his qualifying group which put him in the fourth row of his heat race.

When he hit the track for winged heat action, Bernal raced into fifth as he looked to get into the fourth and final transfer spot. Unable to do so, Bernal’s fifth place finish put him in the ‘B’ where he chased after one of the four transfer spots into the ‘A’.

Settling into third once the race came to life after a couple incidents, Bernal kept the position and moved into the feature where he took the green flag from the 19th starting position.

From the back of the pack, Bernal continued to race well after the tough qualifying draw. Racing towards the Top-10, Bernal was able to pass quite a few cars as he closed the busy night out with a 12th place finish.

“I really appreciate all of the guys for all of their hard work,” Bernal added. “Thanks to Jimmy, Charlie, Clive, and Ryan for all they do. Nights with multiple cars and in multiple divisions aren’t easy but they did a great job, and we had three really good cars.”

Ryan Bernal and TDR would like to thank NOS Energy Drink, Inland Rigging, JFM, BOXO, Dunkel Farms, Keizer Wheels, BR Motorsports, Pacific Highway Rentals, King racing Products, HBC, Macerick, RB Inserts, Osborne Speed and Machine, SURECAN, MPe, and Woodland Auto Display for their support.
