Grasty Grabs Third Win of 2025 With Speedweek Triumph
PETERSEN MEDIA- Able to put a tough Friday night at Silver Dollar Speedway behind him, Chance Grasty put together an impressive run at Placerville Speedway on Saturday night as he charged from eighth to score his third win of the season which also marked his second SCCT score of 2025.
“Saturday night honestly didn’t get off to a great start as we missed it in qualifying,” Chance Grasty said. “Luckily things went our way in the heat race and we were able to qualify for the Dash and that helps anybody’s night tremendously.”
Timing in 13th fastest with the SCCT on Saturday night at Placerville Speedway which marked the second round of the series’ second annual speedweek, Grasty found himself in the second row of his heat race, which he needed to win to make the Dash.
With the initial start being called back, Grasty was moved to the front row, and was able to fully take advantage of the prime starting position. Getting the jump in the Bushey Financial Services/C&H Motor Parts/Sierra Single Play Roofing backed No. x1 entry, Grasty raced his way to the win and punched his ticket into the High Sierra Industries Dash.
Drawing the four, Grasty again was just a little off in the eight lap affair and slipped back to an eighth place finish which then put him in the fourth row of the 35-lap feature event.
Making some adjustments prior to the feature hitting the bullring, it was apparent that Grasty had a very good car beneath him as the action came to life. Picking up a few positions in the caution plagued start of the race, Grasty kicked it into overdrive during an extended green flag run as he surged his way through the field and found himself out front on the 15thlap.
A late stoppage bunched the field back up, and when the race resumed Grasty was in a battle with second running Austin Wood as the duo battled for the top spot on the slick surface.
Able to clear Wood, Grasty created some separation as he was able to race his way to his third victory of the 2025 season.
“Once I got out front, I had to run smart as traffic was a huge factor,” Grasty added. “Thankful that Alan, Tooch, Dan, Terry, Mike, Ryan, Mason, and Joe worked so hard to keep getting the car better, as well as to all of our supporters who allow us to run week in and week out.”
F&F Racing would like to thank Bushey Financial Services, C&H Motor Parts, Sierra Single Ply Roofing, Wrayvon, CRV Carbon Solutions, Quick Change Liquid Energy, All Pro Heads, Engler, and Don Ott Racing Engines for their support.
ON TAP: F&F Racing and Chance Grasty will take this week off before returning to Placerville Speedway on August 2nd.
