Madsen Picks Up World of Outlaws Top-10 During Final Weekend of Spring CA Swing

PETERSEN MEDIA- Battling with the World of Outlaws for one final weekend in California this past weekend, Kerry Madsen earned a ninth-place finish at Bakersfield Speedway on Saturday night, before a flat tire interrupted his charge at Perris Auto Speedway on Saturday night.

“We are all new working together, so I say were a work in progress for sure,” Kerry Madsen said. “We made good changes all weekend long, and I think we are heading in the right direction and will get our first win very soon.”

Following ‘The Greatest Show on Dirt’ to Bakersfield Speedway on Friday night, Madsen opened the weekend up by timing the Roth Enterprises/HR Livestock Transportation/Jason, Tara, and Cole Roth Cattle Co. backed No. 83jr in 13thfastest in qualifying time trials.

Lining up in the third row of his heat race, Madsen would settle into the fifth position which would safely transfer him into the 35-lap feature event.

Taking the green flag from the 13th starting position in the feature event, Madsen would have his elbow up on the slick short track as he raced his way into the Top-10.

With action all over the speedway, Madsen would cap his night off with another Top-10 as he finished ninth.

Traveling south for one night of WoO action in The Golden State, Madsen would Saturday night started off by timing the Roth Motorsports car in 20th fastest.

Lining up at the rear of the field in his heat race, the St. Marys, NSW native would race his way to a sixth-place finish and earn the transfer into the feature event.

The final 30-lap feature event of the weekend would slot Madsen in the 17th starting position on the very racy ½ mile that was offered up to the field on this night. As the race came to life, Madsen was quickly able to pick up a few positions as he worked his way into 14th amidst an extended green flag run to start the race.

As Madsen looked for a way into the Top-10, bad luck with strike on the 21st lap as a flat right rear tire forced him to come to a stop and draw a caution flag.

Able to make repairs, Madsen would survive a wild finish, and ended up fighting back to finish 16th.

“Big thanks to Dennis and Teresa Roth and everyone at Roth Motorsports,” Madsen said. “It was a bummer to get a flat tire on Saturday night, but were getting better and I am looking forward to getting to Stockton this weekend, it is a place I have had success at in the past.”

The Roth Motorsports team would like to thank Roth Enterprises, HR Livestock Transportation, Jason, Tara, And Cole Roth Cattle Co., Roth Investments, Rod Ends, Vahlco Wheels, Brown and Miller Racing Solutions, Kent Performance, Kaeding Performance, and Smith Titanium for their support.
