Chance Grasty Second at Placerville Speedway
PETERSEN MEDIA- Chance Grasty and F&F Racing put together another extremely solid night after the disappointment they endured at the NorCal Posse Shootout as Grasty secured a second place finish at Placerville Speedway.
“I am really proud of our guys and how hard they have been working,” Chance Grasty said. “Our night started off on a high note with quick time and we built from there and ended up running second in the feature.”
Kicking Saturday night off on a high, Grasty laid down an extremely strong lap in time trials as he earned quick time honors in the Bushey Financial Services/C&H Motor Parts/Sierra Single Ply Roofing backed No. x1 entry.
Taking the green flag from the second row of his heat race, Grasty continued to showcase an extremely strong racecar as he worked his way to a second place finish to safely put himself in the feature event and earn a spot in the redraw.
Pulling the five, Grasty was in a good spot for the start of the feature event and as the race came to life he quickly moved into fourth as he worked around the racy bullring.
After running fourth during the race’s initial green flag run, a restart allowed the Suisun, CA driver to power his way into third as he began chasing after the lead duo of Austin Wood and Andy Forsberg.
Using a restart to get by Wood to take over the second position, Grasty then was able to pull alongside Andy Forsberg and battle for the race’s top spot. Exchanging the top spot for several laps in a high paced game of chess, Grasty ultimately settled into second as Forsberg pulled away as he secured the runner up spot at the finish.
“Overall, it was a solid night and it was nice to be back up front all night long and give the team a great finish,” Grasty added. “As always I want to give a big thanks to Alan, Tooch, Dan, and the entire crew for continuing to work hard and put a fast car on the track.”
F&F Racing would like to thank Bushey Financial Services, C&H Motor Parts, Sierra Single Ply Roofing, Wrayvon, CRV Carbon Solutions, Quick Change Liquid Energy, All Pro Heads, Engler, and Don Ott Racing Engines for their support.
ON TAP: F&F Racing and Chance Grasty are slated to travel to Tulare, CA on Saturday night to compete with the NARC series.
