Chance Grasty Fights For Placerville Speedway Top-10

PETERSEN MEDIA- With an extended break in the NARC schedule, Chance Grasty and the F&F Racing team were in action on Saturday night at Placerville Speedway where Grasty overcame some early trouble and ended his night with a seventh-place finish.

“We went out extremely late in time trials, but we were still able to find some grip and lay down a great lap,” Chance Grasty said. “We had some issues in our heat and had to go through the ‘B’.  Despite coming from the back twice we ended up seventh when it was all said and done.”

With 29 cars checked into the Placerville Speedway, an extremely hot week saw the Placerville Speedway slick off early in the night, and despite going out late in time trials, Grasty earned fast time honors.

Lining up fourth in his heat race, Grasty found himself in no man’s land as the field raced into turns one and two. Not left much room, the Suisun City, CA driver was off the racing surface and did everything but get upside down.

Relegated to the back of the pack, Grasty’s sixth place finish put him in the ‘B’ Main. Picking up the win in the semi, Grasty moved into the feature event where he took the green flag from the 17th starting position.

With the surface still very slick, Grasty had gotten himself near the Top-10, but a car getting out of shape in front of him left him with nowhere to go, and he was again forced to the back of the pack.

Once the action resumed, Grasty went to work on the slick surface. Able to work his way forward once again, he was able to crack the Top-10 as the speedway began to take a little rubber.

Working his way into seventh as the rubber really started to go down on the speedway, Grasty capped a long night off with a seventh-place finish.

“It was super fun passing cars all night long, and I really want to thank the guys for a really fast car all night,” Grasty said. “In the feature, once it started to take rubber it just killed the momentum we had, but it’s part of it. We will take what we learned and try again back at Placerville Speedway on Saturday night.”

F&F Racing would like to thank Bushey Financial Services, C&H Motor Parts, Sierra Single Ply Roofing, Triple X Race Co., Wrayvon, CRV Carbon Solutions, Econo Lube ‘N’ Tune, XC Gear, All Pro Heads, Engler, and Don Ott Racing Engines for their support.
