PETERSEN MEDIA- Returning to Placerville Speedway on Saturday night, Chance Grasty used a midrace restart to power in to the race lead as he went on to pick up his second win of the season with the F&F Racing team.

“After the speed we had last week, I was really confident heading into Saturday night’s race,” Chance Grasty said. “My guys have been working so hard, and we put ourselves in a great spot all night long.”

With 29 cars packed into the Placerville Speedway pit area, Grasty got his evening started by timing the Bushey Financial Services/C&H Motor Parts/Sierra Single Ply Roofing No. x1 entry in fourth fastest in time trials.

Lining up in the second row of his heat race, Grasty was able to get a great start as he jumped into second and chased after Justyn Cox. As Grasty and Cox broke away from the field, he was unable to challenge for the win but his second-place finish locked him into the feature event as well as the redraw.

Pulling the five, Grasty was locked into the third row of the feature event on a surface that still held grip unlike the surface that was presented during the previous week.

Settling into fifth as the race went green, Grasty used an early restart to move into fourth. Continuing to run in fourth, Grasty worked into third on the 14^th lap, and then was in second on lap 16.

Looking very strong, Grasty got just what he needed on the 17^th lap, as a restart let him power around Justyn Cox to take the lead and motor away from the field. Looking strong out front, Grasty had a couple of near incidents while hammering the track’s thick cushion, but in the end, he was able to race to his second overall win of the season.

“After the bad luck we had last week, I am really happy to get these guys back in victory lane,” Grasty noted. “They have all been working so hard all year long and its great to celebrate with them.”
