Cole Wakim Pockets Another USCS Top-5
PETERSEN MEDIA: Back in action with the USCS on Saturday night in Ventura, CA, Cole Wakim and the Josh Ford Motorsports team picked up a fifth place finish in the feature event.
“We had good speed again, and put ourselves in a good spot all night,” Cole Wakim said. “We just faded a little in the feature, but still ended up with a fifth-place finish.”
Getting the night kicked off in qualifying time trials, Wakim timed the Quick Time Liquid Energy /Inland Rigging/MPe backed No. 73 second fastest in his qualifying group.
Lining up on the front row of his heat race, Wakim got the jump and went on to score the win which led him to the front row of the feature event on the tight confines of Ventura Raceway.
When the race came to life, Wakim didn’t quite have the same drive that he had in heat race and didn’t get the jumped he was looking for. Battling the likes of Kaleb Montgomery, Ricky Lewis, and Austin Williams, Wakim kept his machine in the top-five.
With laps clicking off, Wakim was able to maintain but wasn’t able to get back to the front to battle for the lead. When the feature event came to a close, the Simi Valley, CA driver capped the night off with a fifth place finish.
“We were just a little off in the feature, but still it was a good night and we picked up another solid finish,” Wakim said.
JFM would like to thank Quick Change Liquid Energy, Inland Rigging, MPe, SURECAN, Woodland Auto Display, Beilman Motorsports, and 1Way Technologies for their support in 2025.
BY THE NUMBERS: Races: 16, Wins: 1, Top 5’s: 6, Top 10’s: 10
ON TAP: Wakim’s next event is TBD at this time.
