Dakota Albright Back in Victory Lane As He Tops Field at Plaza Park
PETERSEN MEDIA- Making a rare start at Plaza Park Raceway in Visalia, CA on Friday night, Dakota Albright made a late race move to pocket his fourth win of the 2026 season.
“It is always good when you unload off the trailer and have speed,” Dakota Albright said. “Friday night we were really good from start to finish and I really have to thank my wife and Danny Parker for all of their help as I was a little shorthanded with the Friday night race.”
Despite the scorching temperatures in the CA valley on this day, Albright got off to a quick start as he timed the Thompson’s Family of Dealerships/Matos Accountancy/Greenwood Machine and Fab backed No. 35JR in fourth fastest in time trials.
Lining up third in his heat race, the Waterford, CA native simply needed to finish inside the Top-4 to qualify for the redraw. Using it as a bit of a test session Albright finished third and then ultimately put himself in the second row for the 20-lap feature event.
As the race went green, Albright jumped into third as he took a liking to the high side of the speedway. Racing into second on the fifth lap, Albright continued to pound the cushion until he felt pressure for the spot with a car trying to work the bottom.
Adjusting his line to see if the bottom was a better option, the duo banged wheels but both were able to stay pointed the right direction and race on. A yellow a lap later gave Albright a chance to regroup and gave him an opportunity to challenge for the win.
The restart saw Albright keep pace with the leader and as he pulled alongside him in turns three and four, he was officially the leader as the white flag flew. As the battle continued on the final lap, Albright used his momentum from running the high side to drive around him for good in turns three and four to grab the win.
“It was a fun race, and I am thankful again to my wife and Danny Parker for their help, as well as to all the great people that are behind me and make this all possible,” Albright added.
Dakota Albright would like to thank Thompson’s Family of Dealerships, Matos Accountancy, Greenwood Machine and Fabrication, 530 Wraps, Oval Chassis Research, Parker Performance and Fabrication, Romey’s Window Cleaning, Nutcher Milk, Angels Heavy Haul, West Steel and Plastics, Calhot Powder Coating, Sala Racing, Petersen Media, and Simpson Race Products for their support.
ON TAP: Albright will be back in this Saturday night for a non wing event at Placerville Speedway.
