Grasty 7th With NARC at Placerville Speedway

PETERSEN MEDIA- Chance Grasty and the F&F Racing team continued their run of 410ci racing on Saturday night at Placerville Speedway where Grasty recorded a 7th place finish with the Northern Auto Racing Club (NARC) during the series’ second and final visit at the track.

“We got off to a great start earning fast time honors, and we ran well in our heat and the Dash,” Grasty said. “Our feature didn’t get off a to very good start, but luckily I was able to pick up a few spots and get us a Top-10.”

With 23 cars checked into the Placerville Speedway pit area on Saturday night, Grasty got the night underway in fine fashion as he earned quick time honors in qualifying time trials.

Slated to start fourth in his heat race, some theatrics on the start of his heat race ultimately put the Suisun City, CA driver on the front row. When the race finally went green, Grasty settled into second.

Holding down the second on a surface that stayed fast early in the night, Grasty went to finish in the runner up position and moved into the Dash. Starting sixth and finishing fifth in the Dash, Grasty was set to take the green flag from the third row for the 30-lap feature event.

When the green flag was displayed to the field, Grasty didn’t get the jump he was after and slipped back to 10th as the field shuffled out around the famed ¼ mile bullring.

One he settled in, Grasty slowly began to work his way forward with action all around the racing surface. Able to pick up a few positions along the way, Grasty capped his night off with a 7th place finish.

“It wasn’t the feature event we were hoping for with how the start of the night went, but I am very fortunate that we had a car that allowed to me work forward and finish in the Top-10,” Grasty added. “Thanks to my guys for always working hard for me.”
