Hunter Schuerenberg Excited For Rest of High Limit Swing with Josh Ford Motorsports

PETERSEN MEDIA: Climbing aboard the Jimmy May prepared, Josh Ford Motorsports No. 73 over the weekend in Las Vegas, NV, Hunter Schuerenberg was happy with the speed and how the car felt their first weekend out, and looks forward to this weekend in Arizona.

“We had pretty good speed, and I was happy with how comfortable the car felt, we just need to lock in and put complete nights together,” Hunter Schuerenberg said.

Kicking the weekend off on Thursday night, Schuerenberg timed the MPe/Inland Rigging/Woodland Auto Display backed No. 73 in ninth fastest in time trials before picking up a fourth-place finish in his heat race.

Moving into the feature event, the Sikeston, MO driver took the green flag from the 13th starting position, but the race didn’t go how the team had hoped as a couple things didn’t go their way and they slipped back to a 21st place finish.

Back in action in Sin City on Friday night, Schuerenberg went out very early in the first-time trials flight, and it resulted in a 15th quick effort. Lining up eighth in his heat race, Schuerenberg did a great job of digging out of the early hole as he worked his way up to a fifth-place finish and locked directly into the feature event.

Taking the green flag from the 17th starting position, Schuerenberg got off to a nice start as he worked up into the 15thspot within the first five laps of the feature. Slipping back to 18th as he fought an issue, Schuerenberg slowed on the 11thlap and retired to the pit area.

Saturday night brought the end of the weekend for the JFM team as Schuerenberg timed in 12th fastest in time trials. In heat race action, Schurenberg was involved in a wild flip, and while he was able to walk away from the wreckage, it was the end of the night for them.

“It was a bit of a tough weekend, but I am really confident in this group heading into this weekend in Arizona,” Schuerenberg added. “I really like our chances to make some noise.”

JFM would like to thank Woodland Auto Display, Inland Rigging, MPe, SURECAN, , Beilman Motorsports, and 1Way Technologies for their support in 2025.

BY THE NUMBERS: Races: 3, Wins: 0, Top 5’s: 1, Top 10’s: 0

ON TAP: The next midget race for JFM is TBD.
