PETERSEN MEDIA: Getting the call to drive the PDM No. 5 entry on Saturday night at Lake Ozark Speedway, Joel Myers Jr wasted no time acclimating to the new ride as he led all 25 laps en route to his fifth feature event win of the season.

“I really want to thank Wayne Priddy, Andrew Deal, and everyone associated with the PDM team,” Joel Myers Jr said. “It was a great night with a great group and I am really proud to get them in victory lane.”

Though originally scheduled for a two-night showing, Mother Nature rained out Friday’s event but Myers Jr came out swinging on Saturday night as he earned fast time honors in qualifications.

Going from fourth to second in his heat race, the Sebastopol, CA driver found himself on the pole of the 25-lap feature event. When the green flag waved, Myers Jr hammered the loud pedal and quickly began to set a torrid pace at the Missouri facility.

Getting into traffic amidst a non-stop affair, Myers Jr was flawless as he continued to hold a very sizeable lead. In command of the race from start to finish, Myers Jr was able to put the PDM team in victory lane which marked his first ever win at Lake Ozark Speedway as he now turns his attention to a big week in Ohio as he will return to the seat of the Hayward Motorsports No. 19H entry.

“We were really good out of the trailer on Saturday night, and we continued to get better,” Joel Myers Jr said. “It is always cool to win at new tracks, and I am thankful that the PDM guys gave me the opportunity to run for them.”
