PETERSEN MEDIA- Dakota Albright continued his hot streak over the summer months as the Waterford, CA driver scored his third consecutive win of the year during Saturday’s non-winged event at Placerville Speedway. The win also netted him the King of Non-Wing mini series championship as he was able to score two out of three wins this season.

“I am extremely happy to get another win, and really happy with the changes we made since I didn’t feel that great early in the night,” Dakota Albright said.

Lining up on the front row of his heat race, Albright was able to get the jump as the green flag was displayed to the field aboard his Thompson’s Family of Dealerships/Matos Accountancy/Greenwood Machine and Fab backed No. 35Jr mount.

Despite not feeling like he had a great car underneath him, Albright was able to race to the win before finding himself in the third row of the 20-lap feature event.

Opting to make a last minute gear change prior to the feature event being called to the track, Albright was happy with his decision as he was able to fire off well when the race went green as he jumped into third.

Running the first two laps in the ‘show’ position, Albright raced into second on the third stanza. With the track good enough to move around on, Albright was able to move around and track down the race leader on the ninth lap.

Powering into the lead at the halfway point, Albright continued to turn in strong laps while keeping the field at bay. Leading the rest of the way, Albright scored his third consecutive win with BCRA, and captured the King of Non-Wing Championship.

“To pick up our third in a row and win the King of Non-Wing is definitely cool, and deserved for our team,” Albright said. “On top of all of my partners, I also want to thank the track’s sponsor, Kings Meats, for the box we were able to take home for winning on Saturday as well.”
