KJ Snow 4th In JFM Midget
PETERSEN MEDIA: Piloting a Josh Ford Motorsports Midget on Saturday night in Ventura, CA, KJ Snow had a solid night with the team as he recorded a fourth-place finish in the feature event.
“Running a midget, it is all about me getting comfortable and I felt comfortable right away working with Jimmy May and his team,” KJ Snow said.
Timing the Woodland Auto Display/Inland Rigging/MPe backed No. 73 midget in eighth quickest in time trials, Snow lined up in the second row of his heat race.
Moving into second when the heat came to life, Snow powered his way into the lead on the fourth lap, before a slight bobble on the seventh lap saw him slip back to a second place finish.
Finishing second in the heat, Snow moved into the feature event where he took the green flag from the ninth starting position.
From the fifth row, Snow got off to a smooth start as he was able to avoid a few tangles that took place ahead of him on the small confines of Ventura Raceway as he marched towards the front.
Racing into seventh on the 22nd lap, Snow continued to run smooth laps as he then raced into sixth on the 25th lap.
Continuing to gain steam as the race drew to a close, Snow moved into fourth in the waning laps, where he went on to finish.
“Staring in the fifth row, I just rode around and made sure to keep my nose clean,” Snow said. “We had really good speed all night, which I was happy with and I am hoping we can do it again soon.”
