12 Wins and Counting for Kasiner
PETERSEN MEDIA: 2017 continues to go well for Five Points, CA standout, Garth Kasiner. Saturday night in Dixon, CA, Kasiner used a front row starting position to garner his 12th feature event triumph at of the season.
Opening up a big night of racing at Dixon Speedway, Kasiner timed the West Hill’s Oil/CS9/SRP backed No. 21g entry in second quickest of the 15 cars checked in for the night of racing.
Picking up the win in his 10-lap heat race, Kasiner would find himself on the front row of the 20-lap feature event. With new dirt down on the track a nice cushion had built up around the speedway, and when the green flag drop, ‘Garth Vader’ planted his right rear against it and took command of the race.
An early caution would slow Kasiner’s early pace, but back underway the youngster was hard on the throttle as he was very strong out front. Living on the cushion, Kasiner would continue to open his lead up as he reeled in the back of the field.
Getting into traffic, Kasiner had an extremely close call as a spinning car shot up out of the field and nearly made contact with him. Luckily it was avoided and he went about his business clicking off laps.
Despite the one close call, Kasiner kept this race in hand and left no double on who would take the top spot as he wired the field and claimed his 12th win of the season.
