PETERSEN MEDIA- Having a tough go during the Fall Nationals opener on Friday night, Mason Moore would bounce back on Saturday and finish in the 16th spot.

“It wasn’t the greatest weekend, but I was happy we were able to rebound on Saturday after a pretty rough night on Friday,” Mason Moore said. “I really have to thank everyone on this team for continuing to work hard and support me.”

With 56 cars checked in on Saturday night, Moore timed the Coors Light/ITC Service Group/LRB Race Products No. 22 machine in seventh fastest in his time trial flight, putting him on the front row of his heat race.

Running second to Kyle Hirst, Moore would move into the 40-lap Fall Nationals A Main event, where he gridded the field from the seventh row. With a wild wind storm surfacing during the feature event, it gave drivers another obstacle to deal with, and with this being Moore’s first time in the car in three-weeks, he admittedly would get a little tired.

Battling inside the Top-15 in latter stages of the race, passing would become increasingly difficult, and Moore would opt to pull off the surface on the 27th lap, as he would be credited with a 16th place finish.

Friday night, Moore would time in 16th fastest in his time trial group, and he would find himself in the fourth row of his heat race. Getting into the sixth spot, Moore would make a move for the fifth and final transfer spot into the feature event, but he would go through some grease that was on the speedway, and slide back to finish eight, and find himself mid-pack of the B main.

From his fifth row starting spot, Moore would battle with Scott Hall and Ken Frendenburg inside the Top-10, but he was unable to get moving forward as a ninth place finish in the B would end his Friday night.

“It felt good to get back in the car, but we just did not run how I had hoped we would,” Moore said. “We have a couple of races left on our schedule, so I am definitely looking to get this car near the front for all of our partners, and everyone who helps us out.”

Mason and his team would like to thank Coors Light, ITC Service Group, LRB Race Products, NAAKE Suspension, JRI Shocks, Platinum Powder Coating, Selover Paint and Body, and Moore Insurance Services for their support in 2015.
