At Canyon Speedway Park in Arizona, the Lucas Oil ASCS National tour kicked their 2020 campaign off over the weekend. Friday night it was all about Matt Covington who picked up the opening night win. Saturday night it was a knockdown, drag out thriller between Sam Hafertepe, Jr, and Justin Sanders. In the end, it was Hafertepe using his KSE Racing products to narrowly grab the win to end the weekend.
Getting off to a red-hot start to open the 2019 season a year ago, Mark Smith has been on the same terror to open 2020. Smith used his KSE Racing Products to pick up a USCS win at Hattiesberg Speedway, while Dylan Cisney won at Lincoln Speedway, Sterling Cling won at USA Raceway, and Keith Day, Jr picked up his first career winged sprint car win at Keller Auto Speedway in Hanford, CA.
Across the pond in Australia, Matt Dumesny made his return from injury a strong one as he used KSE Racing Products to pick up a win in Sydney, AU while James McFadden kept up his strong campaign with Monte Motorsport by capturing the Krikke Boys Shootout.
