PETERSEN MEDIA- With the 2015 season in Northern California coming to life, Alissa Geving is extremely excited to announce that she has joined forces with Brett Lay Racing for the 2015 season as the team intends to go after the Petaluma Speedway Track Championship, an accomplishment Geving has captured three times in her career.
“I am very excited to drive for Brett and Sherry Lay in 2015. It is a different experience for me, and I am hoping I can learn a lot from it,” Geving said.
With Brett Lay Racing coming off of a very successful 2014 campaign, Geving climbs aboard a very capable machine, and the addition of her father Gary’s former mechanic, Joe Stiles, both parties are looking forward to this new partnership.
“Having Joe as our crew chief will be awesome,” Geving added. “He is a very nice guy, and has a ton of knowledge, and that is huge in this sport.”
With one race already under the team’s belt, they had a nice showing at the Marysville Raceway as Geving timed in 11th fastest before finishing second in her heat race.
Scheduled to start 12th in the A Main, the team noticed an issue with their fuel system, and opted to not start the feature event.
“Our first night went well, and I am really looking forward to the year ahead, and hope we can be strong at Petaluma, and win a lot of races,” she added.
