PETERSEN MEDIA- Taking in two nights of action at the Silver Dollar Speedway, Jonathan Allard would come back from an opening lap tumble on Friday night to finish in the ninth spot during the 26th Annual Dave Bradway, Jr Memorial on Saturday night.
“It was a tough weekend for our team with getting in a wreck on Friday night, and Saturday night we struggled with our car a bit, but Lee and Shane have been working tirelessly at the shop, and I have to thank them for continuing to get this team headed in the right direction.”
Friday night at the Silver Dollar Speedway, Allard would be involved in a wreck at the start of the feature event and as a result from the damage, the Tri-C Motorsports team would pull another car out of the trailer for the 26th Annual Dave Bradway, Jr Memorial.
Timing the Tri-C Manufacturing/Walker Performance Filtration/ButlerBuilt No. 3c machine in 12th fastest on Saturday night, Allard would run second in his heat race and put himself safely in the 40-lap feature event.
Lining up in the sixth row of the feature event, Allard would search all over the racy Silver Dollar Speedway as he battled in the Top-10 during the duration of the fast paced, non-stop event.
Racing with the likes of California young guns, Justyn Cox and DJ Netto, Allard would do what he could in traffic to better his track position. Racing wheel-to-wheel in thick traffic at times, Allard would hold his spot inside the Top-10 as he took the checkered flag with a ninth place finish.
“We definitely come to races like this to compete for wins, but when it goes non stop and you start mid pack, it makes it tough,” Allard said. “We worked all night on our car and got it decent for the feature event. It was a fun race, but with the way it went it was tough to really make up a ton of ground.”
