PETERSEN MEDIA- Kicking off a stretch of three consecutive weekends of racing in California’s Central Valley, Jonathan Allard would pick up a pair of sixth place finishes as he and his team were in action on the Keller Auto Speedway in Hanford, CA and Tulare, CA’s Thunderbowl Raceway.

“With the Trophy Cup coming up this week, it was good for us to have a nice run with the 360ci engine on Friday night in Hanford, CA, and get some good laps at the Thunderbowl on Saturday night,” Jonathan Allard said.

Timing the Tri-C Manufacturing/K&N/ButlerBuilt No. 3c machine in fifth fastest on Friday night, Allard would finish fourth in his heat race and advance into the Dash based on his qualifying effort.

Finishing fourth in the Dash, the Chico, CA driver would grid the field from the second row for the 30-lap feature event on an extremely racy Keller Auto Speedway surface.

Running in the fourth spot for the early portion of the race, Allard would move into the third spot on the fifth lap, though he would feel pressure from Jason Meyers. With the top four running in a tight pack, Allard would find himself back in fourth spot, as Carson Macedo joined the fray.

Slipping back to fifth, Allard continued to battle as the race would have a 28-lap green flag run with the lone caution flying on the second marker. In the closing laps, Allard would feel pressure from DJ Netto, and on the last corner, Netto would sneak by, and Allard would finish in the sixth position.

Taking to the Thunderbowl Raceway on Saturday night with the King of the West Series, Allard would time in sixth fastest, and line up in the second row of a stacked heat race.

Battling with Tim Kaeding for the fourth and final transfer spot, Kaeding would find a way to slide up in front of Allard to take the spot, and Allard would be forced into the B Main.

Starting on the front row of the B, Allard would get out front and set sail on the field as the win would put him in the A Main where he would line up in the 10th spot. On this night the Thunderbowl Raceway would stay in extremely good shape, which meant passing was tough.

Though the track slowly widened out during the duration of the A Main, some moving and shaking did take place, and Allard would advance four positions as he finished in the sixth spot.

“It has been a process with us this year, and I think we were able to get some crucial things sorted this week,” Allard said. “The track on Saturday was a little out of the norm for Tulare, so hopefully we can come out later this week and have a good showing at the Trophy Cup.”

Allard would like to thank Tri-C Manufacturing, K&N, ButlerBuilt, Amerikote, King Racing Products, BR Motorsports, Red Line Oil, KSE Racing Products, Weld Wheels, NGK Spark Plugs, FK Rod Ends, Hunt Magnetos, Longacre Products, RCM Design, Ti64, A.R.T. Speed Equipment, AL Driveline, and Hoosier Tire for their support.

2015 BY THE NUMBERS: Races-61, Wins-10, Top 5’s-29, Top 10’s-42.

ON TAP: Allard and his Tri-C Motorsports team will be at the Thunderbowl Raceway this Thursday-Saturday for the 22nd Annual Trophy Cup.
