Andy Forsberg and F&F Racing Seventh at Placerville Speedway’s Sunday Funday

PETERSEN MEDIA- Coming off a tumultuous weekend that saw the F&F Racing team endure a pair of DNF’s, Andy Forsberg and company were back to work on Sunday at Placerville Speedway where the picked up a seventh place finish.

“The car felt really good all night long, and we had good speed, but I made a couple of mistakes in the seat trying to figure the cushion out,” Andy Forsberg said. “It was good to finish a race after what feels like a long dry spell, and like I said really happy with how the car felt.”

36 cars checked in for the rare Sunday night program at Placerville Speedway, and with the field split into two qualifying groups, Forsberg would time in fastest in the second group, and third overall.

Lining up fourth in heat race competition, Forsberg would hang on to finish fourth aboard the C&H Motor Parts/Bushey Financial Services/PitStopUSA mount, which was all he needed to do to earn a spot in the redraw.

With a four and eight the two pills left, Forsberg would end up with the four, which placed him in the second row for the 25-lap feature event.

A big curb had built up around the Speedway on this night, leaving the bottom extremely slick and putting much of the field on the cushion. Running in the top=five much of the race, Forsberg would admittedly make a couple of mistakes that cost him a couple of positions as the race moved along.

“The cushion was pretty thick, and you had to be smart about how you ran up against it and I hit it wrong a couple of times and it cost us,” Forsberg said.

Slipping back to seventh, Forsberg would close the night out with his ninth Top-10 of the season with F&F Racing.

“It was a busy weekend for me personally running three nights, and a lot of the crew from the F&F team helped out all three nights as well, so I have to thank them for working really hard,” Forsberg said. “We have kind of a long week ahead before we get back to racing on Sunday at Marysville Raceway.”

F&F Racing and Andy Forsberg would like to thank C&H Motor Parts, Bushey Financial Services, PitStopUSA, Geico Local Office, Econo Lube-n-Tune & Brakes, Lucas Oil, Pacific Highway Rentals, Autism Awareness, CRV Carbon Solutions, All Pro Heads, and Engler for their support in 2021.
