PETERSEN MEDIA- Making the trek to Keller Auto Speedway in Hanford, CA for the Cotton Classic, Andy Forsberg and F&F Racing would overcome a turbulent start to the night and come away with a sixth-place finish.
“We kind of had a tough start to the night with some issues during hot laps and before time trials, but the F&F Racing guys really worked hard and we ended up with a pretty decent night at a track that we don’t run at a ton,” Andy Forsberg said.
Enduring some issues during hot laps and having to give up their time trials spot to fix a drive train issue, Forsberg was still able to make the best of his time trial lap after going out last as he timed in 10th fastest overall aboard the C&H Motor Parts/Bushey Financial Services/Huggins Cams backed machine.
Lining up third in his heat race, the Auburn, CA driver would finish third and transfer directly into the 30-lap Cotton Classic feature event.
Taking the green flag from the 10th starting position on the slick surface, Forsberg was methodical after just running 41-laps in the 410ci car.
Working his way forward, Forsberg would find himself in a torrid battle with the likes of DJ Netto, JJ Hickle, and Mitchell Faccinto as they all jockeyed for Top-Five position.
When the race drew to a close, Forsberg would settle into the sixth position where he would go on to finish and bring his weekend to a close.
“These double header weekends are always tough, and when we run my car with the 410ci as well it makes for some hard work,” Forsberg said. “Thanks to everyone that makes all of this possible.”
