Andy Forsberg Back in Placerville Speedway Victory Lane

PETERSEN MEDIA- After a slow start at Placerville Speedway to open the season, Andy Forsberg and F&F Racing have been extremely strong on the ¼ mile through the summer months as Forsberg and company returned to victory lane on Saturday night.
“My guys did a great job of giving me another great racecar, and the RMI team did a great job giving us a great surface prior to the feature event,” Andy Forsberg said. “Anytime you’re able to get into victory lane it is a great night.”
Forsberg opened Saturday night off by timing the F&F Racing machine in quickest in qualifying time trials, which put him in a great spot for the rest of the night ahead.
Lining the Econo Lube-n-Tune and Brakes/Geico Local Office/PitStopUSA machine up in the second row for heat race action, the Auburn, CA driver would work his way up to finish in the second spot and ensure a spot in the nightly redraw.
The lowly six pill put the current points leader in the third row for the 25-lap feature event, and following some track prep he would put on a show for the fans in attendance on this night.
Forsberg would run in the top-five in the early goings of the feature event as he chased after some new blood in the sport in the likes of Tanner Carrick, Cody Lamar, Tony Gualda, and Justyn Cox.
Using some late race restarts, Forsberg would soon find himself in second, and chasing after Gualda who was in the race lead. Going to work on the cushion, Forsberg would get by Gualda and take over the race lead with seven laps to go, but Gualda would hang with him initially until Forsberg was able to pull away.
The closing laps would see Forsberg leave the field in his wake as he went on to claim his 56th career win at the bullring nestled in the foothills as he takes another step towards another Track Championship.
“The last two months we have been really good, and that is a testament to Alan and Tooch really rolling their sleeves us and going to work,” Forsberg added. “It has been a blast to race with these guys again and hopefully we can continue to run well as the season progresses.”
F&F Racing and Andy Forsberg would like to thank Econo Lube-n-Tune and Brakes, Geico Local Office, PitStopUSA, Lucas Oil, Pacific Highway Rentals, Autism Awareness, FVP, and CRV Carbon Solutions for their support in 2018.
ON TAP: Forsberg and F&F Racing will take advantage of an off weekend from Placerville Speedway and make the trip to Petaluma Speedway on Saturday night.
