PETERSEN MEDIA: Getting one final race in for the 2021 season before drastically cutting back his racing, Andy Gregg and the Brown Eagle Racing team had a solid night at the Stockton Dirt Track on Friday night that saw Gregg pocket a sixth-place finish.
“Friday night was a good run for our team,” Andy Gregg said. “We didn’t get timed in very well, but we made some changes before the heat, and it made our car really maneuverable in the heat and the feature.”
Timing in 14th fastest in qualifying time trials, Gregg and company would go to work in the pit area prior to heat race action. Lining up in the third row of his heat race, the Diamond Springs, CA driver would race to a fourth-place finish that would put him in the sixth row of the 25-lap main event.
On a slick and rough racing surface, Gregg was one of the few who was able to avoid some of the ruts and make moves going forward. Carving his way well into the Top-10, Gregg would continue to walk the tight rope around the Stockton Dirt Track surface as he avoided some tricky terrain.
Racing his way into sixth, Gregg would cap off a memorable final full season racing with a sixth-place finish and the Tribute to Gary Patterson opener.
“It was a fun season, and I am glad I was able to have one last full season on my own terms,” Andy Gregg said. “I’m super appreciative for the opportunities I had this year to run some other cars, and it looks like I may do a little racing for them in the future if everything works out. Thank you to everyone who stopped in and shared stories this year, I hope it was as fun for all of them as it was for me.”
