PETERSEN MEDIA: Sneaking one final night of racing in for 2019, Andy Gregg made the trip to Keller Auto Speedway in Hanford, CA on Saturday night where he piloted the Brown Eagle Racing No. 01 winged 360ci, and the Jacob Pachecho owned 305ci machine.

“Big thanks to both teams for letting me sneak one more race in for the season,” Andy Gregg said. “In my first 305ci start I thought we had a really good shot at winning, but I lost the handle battling the leader. In the 360ci, we had a really good car but a power steering line issue forced me to pull off.”

In his first ever laps aboard a 305ci winged sprint car, Andy Gregg timed the Jacob Pacehco owned No. 12 machine sixth fastest in time trials before racing his way to a third place finish in his heat.

Moving into the feature event, Gregg would settle into the second position as he chased after the race leader on a tricky surface offered up at Keller Auto Speedway.

Getting to the leader and making it a battle for the top spot, Gregg would lose the handle on his machine and fall back as far as sixth. Able to get gathered up, the Diamond Springs, CA driver would pick up a couple of late positions as he capped his debut with a fourth place finish.

Returning to the seat of the Brown Eagle Racing No. 01 360ci machine on Saturday, Gregg continued to have speed with the team as he timed in fifth quickest in qualifying time trials.

Taking the green flag from the eighth starting position, Gregg got a great start and quickly found himself up inside the Top-5. As the race clicked off laps, Gregg felt like his car was getting better and better as he chased after the lead pack.

Just after the race’s halfway point, the high pressure power steering line would fail on the No. 01 machine and Gregg would take his machine back to the pits and bring his night to an end.

“Both cars had really good speed, and I had a good time running back down in Hanford, CA,” Gregg said. “Again, big thanks to both teams for a great opportunity to get another night of racing in, and thanks to all the marketing partners that make it happen.”

Andy would like to thank GUTS, Capitol ACE Hardware, Crane Inspection Agency, Sierra Ice, CTL Forest Management, Nail It Roofing, ARP Enterprises, Ervin Sales, Triple X, Wilwood, FK Shocks, FK Rod Ends, K&N,  King Racing Products, BR Motorsports, Amerikote, Pony Express Service, Eagle Grit, and MF Inc. for their support in 2019.
