PETERSEN MEDIA: For years, Andy Gregg and the No. 16x machine were a staple in the Golden State. Teaming up with Bret Ervin full time in 2011, the 16x number was set aside, and Gregg moved forward with the No. 53 with Ervin and then with his own Personal car.
Friday night that changes, as Gregg will return to the track with his Vegas themed GUTS Racing No. 16x machine as he competes at the Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, CA.
“I grew up racing the number 16x machine, and then after driving the 53 car I opted to stick with it over the years,” Gregg said. “I haven’t ran my own car all year and as we put it together, we decided to go back to 16x, and bring back a really popular scheme.”
Gregg will be back aboard the Vegas themed Guts Racing/A.R.T. Enterprises/Capitol Ace Hardware entry on Friday night as he makes his season debut at the Silver Dollar Speedway during the Tyler Wolfe Memorial.
“Aside from the new look, I am really excited to get up to the Silver Dollar Speedway on Friday night,” Gregg added. “I have had some success there in years past, and would love to get this car in victory lane. With this being the first night out in my car, I really have to thank the great companies that back me, and allowing me to make this possible.”
