PETERSEN MEDIA- Austin Torgerson has meant business in 2023. A red-hot start to the season continued for the Medford, OR driver on Saturday night as he fended off younger brother, Ashton, to score his fourth feature event win of the year.
Heading to Adobe Mountain Raceway on Saturday night, Austin Torgerson was in action in the NOW600 Non-Wing Outlaw division where he lined the Safety-Kleen/SealMaster backed No. 88 up on the front row of his heat race.
Lining up alongside Eddie Hamblen, Torgerson got the jump and held the early advantage as Darren Brown rode in second and closed in on him. Fending off Brown early, Torgerson would ultimately slip back to second on the fifth lap, where he went on to finish.
Moving into the feature event, Torgerson had a prime starting position as he sat on the front row alongside Axton Romero.
Once the field was sent on their way, Torgerson jumped out to the early lead as he sent a torrid pace around the Adobe Mountain Raceway.
Calm and cool out front in the Safety-Kleen/SealMaster backed No. 88, behind him younger brother Ashton was on the move and up into the second position. Battling hard with his sibling, Austin Torgerson never wavered as he would hold his brother off and race his to his fourth win of the 2023 season.
ON TAP: Austin Torgerson will now make his debut in a winged Sprint Car this Saturday night at Placerville Speedway.
