Bad Luck Bites Netto In Stockton

PETERSEN MEDIA: Traveling to Stockton, CA to take on the World of Outlaws, DJ Netto had some bad luck during the feature event on Saturday night, before putting on a charge in the B Main to come up just short of making the Sunday night feature event.

“We had some really good speed all weekend, but we broke a rod end on Saturday night battling in the Top-10, and on Sunday night we got off to a slow start, but rallied well, I thought,” Netto said.

Saturday night at the Stockton Dirt Track, the Hanford, CA driver timed his Netto Ag/Penny Newman Grain/Bogies Auto parts No. 88n entry in 16th fastest amongst the 39 cars checked into the pit area.

Starting on the front row of his heat race, Netto would capitalize on his starting position and pick up the win to earn a spot in the night’s Dash.

Lining up in the fourth row of the dash, Netto would gain a row for the feature event, as he raced his way to a sixth place finish, putting himself in the third row for the 30-lap feature.

As the feature got underway, Netto went wheel to wheel with some of the best talent in the world, as he raced inside the Top-10. Finding himself in a battle with Rico Abreu for the ninth and 10th spots, the duo made a little contact, and it resulted in Netto breaking a rod end, and his night came to an end.

Back in action on Sunday night, Netto would pack his right-rear full of mud during time trials, and the end result would be him timing in 32nd fastest.

After finishing seventh in his heat race, Netto would line up in the 12th spot for the Last Chance Showdown. On the slick Stockton Dirt Track surface, Netto had his elbows up as he raced his way forward. Getting by Bryan Clauson and Mason Moore, Netto had worked his way up to the sixth spot, as he eyed the fourth and final transfer spot.

Chasing after Logan Schuchart, and Brian Brown, Netto would run out of time as he ended his weekend with a sixth place finish in the LCS.

“Sunday night was frustrating with how we qualified, and how far back it put us,” Netto added. “We had a good car, but you can only do so much in a World of Outlaws B Man. Thanks to everyone who supports us, and hopefully we can have some good results this weekend.”

DJ and his Netto Racing team would like to thank Netto Agriculture, Penny Newman Grain, Bogies Auto Parts, and Vande Pol Enterprises for their support in 2015.

ON TAP: Netto hopes to be in action this weekend as the World of Outlaws invade the Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, CA on Saturday night, and the Antioch Speedway in Antioch, CA on Sunday night.

2015 BY THE NUMBERS: Starts-11, Wins-0, Top 5’s-0, Top 10’s-0
