Bad Luck Gets Eliason Again At The Stockton Dirt Track

PETERSEN MEDIA- Cory Eliason and the Stockton Dirt Track have some issues they need to resolve. For the third time during the 2014 season, Eliason had issues out of his control knock him out of the feature event.

“We typically have good speed at Stockton, but for some reason, every time we come here, something odd happens, and we get knocked out of the race,” Eliason said.

Taking on the King of the West Series Saturday night, Eliason turned in an uncharacteristic time trial lap as he timed the Anguis & Terry/FVP/M&S Racing Engines No. 27 machine 16th fastest.

Heat race action saw Eliason finish in the fifth spot from his 6th starting position, putting himself in the seventh row for the 30-lap feature event.

On a track that was extremely slick and racy, Eliason showed he had a good car in the early goings of the race, as he worked his way inside the Top-10 quickly in the feature event.

Racing with the likes of Brent Kaeding and Kyle Hirst, Eliason got up into the eight spot aboard his Shell Shock/Reitz Almond Harvesting/Empireworks backed entry as the race began it’s home stretch.

On the 24th lap, Eliason’s luck at the Stockton Dirt Track continued as he something in his front end broke, causing him to spin his machine out, and eventually ending his night.

“It was not our best night, but we had a solid Top-10 going, and then again something odd happened to us,” he added. “I have to thank everyone on this M&S Racing team for continuing to work hard and get us better on a weekly basis. Hopefully one of these nights at Stockton we can put a complete night together and finish one of these feature events.”

M&S Racing would like to thank Angius & Terry, FVP, M&S Racing Engines, Shell Shock Designs, Reitz Almond Harvesting, Empireworks Reconstruction and Painting, and Eagle Motorsports for their continued support.

2014 BY THE NUMBERS: Starts-20, Wins-0, Top 5’s-6, Top 10’s-11.
