PETERSEN MEDIA: Saturday in Chowchilla, CA the action in the Barn picks back up as Night No. 2 of the Sanders Motorsports Barn Burner Series pres. by Melikian Enterprises is slated to take center stage.
A very strong showing at opening day back in October has anticipation building for what will be the final action at the track before next weekend’s Nationals.
Saturday the gates open at 11am, with the Driver’s Meeting set for 2pm sharp. As a reminder, those not signed in by the Driver’s meeting will tag the rear of their heat race.
A full slate of Karts are on the card for Saturdays Second event presented by Melikian Enterprises including Beginner Flat’s, Jr Flat’s, Clones, Stock Appearing, Pure Stock’s, Beginner Box Stock’s, Box Stocks, 250’s, 500’s, and 500 non wings.
Just like opening day, there will be another 250/500 Wingless Dash For Cash that will pay $200 to win if 12 karts take part in the action.
Entry for Kart and Driver is 50$, while beginner classes cost $35. Transponders will be available for $10 while pit passes are sold for $20.
Memberships are available for purchase and make drivers eligible for point fund, and give drivers and crew a discounted pit fee at each event. Saturday is the final cut off to sing up to be eligible for the point fund.
Driver Memberships are available for $80, and they come with a weekly $5 discount, as well as make a driver point fund eligible (top three), while crew memberships are available for $30, and also come with a weekly $5 pit pass discount.
The 2018 Sanders Motorsports Barn Burner Series will be comprised of nine (9) classes including Beginner Box (4-7yo), Box Stock (8-12yo), Beginner Flat (5-9yo), Junior Flat (9-14yo), Clone (14yo and up), Pure Stock (13 and up), Stock Appearing (15 and up), 250cc (10 and up), 500cc (12 and up). Drivers may move up one year prior to age requirement with prior experience and track approval prior to raceday.
Payout information for all divisions (except beginner classes) will vary on car counts and will look like this.
