PETERSEN MEDIA: All eyes were on the I-30 Speedway over the weekend for the Short Track Nationals, and after four wild nights of racing, it was Christopher Bell celebrating with the big check.
Piloting Brandon Berryman’s King Racing Products Factory No. 31b machine, Christopher Bell continue his strong runs on Hammer Hill as he raced his way to a preliminary night win on Friday night, locking himself into the Saturday night feature event for a race that he had finished second in on two previous occasions.
After finishing fifth in the dash, Bell lined up in the third row of the 40-lap feature event. Using his BR Ignition, Bell powered into the third spot on the 15th lap, as he continued to battle for the second spot.
Taking advantage of a lap 19-restart, Bell jumped into the lead aboard his Brandon Berryman owned machine, and never looked back as he raced his way to his first career STN victory, as he utilized his King Racing Products to land in victory lane.
