PETERSEN MEDIA: A wide array of racing went on over the weekend, and when the checkered flags were waived it was cars equipped with KSE Racing Products making their way to victory lane.
Getting back to his roots, Christopher Bell checked into the Turnpike Challenge aboard a Keith Kunz Motorsports Midget. Continuing to have success at the event, Bell got out the broom as he used his KSE Racing Products to sweep the weekend and win both Friday and Saturday night.
After going winless in his rookie season with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series, Sheldon Haudenschild has been on fire to open 2018. Haudenschild kept up with that trend on Saturday night as he closed with series’ California swing with another feature event win.
In Northern California, Justin Sanders thrilled a throng of onlookers. Getting the Mike Phulps machine into second late in Saturday’s Civil War Series feature event, Sanders made a bold move in the final corner that saw him score the win after a drag race to the checkered flag.
Teaming up with Bob Ream at the Arizona Speedway, the well traveled Gary Taylor was able to park the potent No. 8 machine in victory lane with the ASCS Southwest Series.
