Ben Worth 11th at Jimmy Sills Classic with Tiner Hirst Development

PETERSEN MEDIA: Continuing to get valuable seat time in full size sprint car with the Tiner Hirst Development team, Ben Worth had a nice showing at Stockton Dirt Track during Saturday’s Jimmy Sills Classic as he came away with an 11th place finish.
“It was a fun night of racing, and I really got to learn some things on a bigger track like running in dirty air, and how tough it is,” Ben Worth said. “It was good to get a full night of racing in, and log a lot of laps.”
Saturday’s program featured two-heat races per driver, with the draw dictating heat line ups. Lining up on the front row of his first heat race, to Coalinga, CA pilot would slip back to finish fifth, before finishing seventh during his second heat race.
Moving into the 35-lap feature event, Worth would take the green flag from the 10th starting position. Running in the 10th spot in the opening laps, Worth would come to a stop on the fifth lap as debris had managed to cut his right-rear tire and force him into the work area.
Able to make repairs, Worth would restart from the back of the pack and would oa nice job work battling for position as he inched towards the Top-10. Battling with fellow youngsters Jesse Love and Blake Carrick in the race’s waning laps, Worth would close his night out with an 11th place finish.
“The Tiner Hirst guys are doing a great job of working to get me comfortable and help me with tons of advice,” Worth said. “It is a lot of fun, and Saturday was a really fun night of racing.”
