PETERSEN MEDIA: Returning to the seat of the Tiner Hirst Development No. 94THon Friday night, Ben Worth made his debut at Silver Dollar Speedway during the Tyler Wolf Memorial and did a nice job cutting his first laps around the ¼ mile bullring.
“Friday night went really well for the most part,” Ben Worth said. “I have a lot of fun racing with the Tiner Hirst Enterprise team, and we timed in well and made the Dash which was great.”
With 30 cars checked in for the Tyler Wolf Memorial, Worth timed the THE backed entry in sixth quickest in qualifying time trials.
With the track’s unique format that they have in place for the 2019 season, Worth locked into the Fast Dash where his fifth place finish would line him up ninth in the 30-lap feature event.
As the race came to life, Worth would hold his own has he battled hard inside the Top-10 against some stiff competition and some seasoned SDS driver. On the heavy surface, Worth would continue to run 10thuntil the race’s halfway point.
Slipping back to 12thwith 10-to-go, Worth would slip over the edge of the track on the 21stlap and bring out the caution. Restarting with nine to go, Worth would pick up a few positions and finish his night off with a 14thplace finish.
“It was great to get up to Chico, CA and race, and I really can’t wait to do it again,” Worth added. “Thanks to everyone that makes this possible for me, and to the THE guys for working so well with me.”
