Blevins Battles Challenge Tour at Placerville Speedway

PETERSEN MEDIA: Returning to action in Placerville Speedway, Chelsea Blevins would check in at Placerville Speedway in Placerville, CA for the second Sprint Car Challenge Tour event and take on an overflowing pit area with 62 other cars checked in.

“Saturday was crazy with over 60 cars checked into the pit area,” Chelsea Blevins said. “It was a really good experience for me, and even though we didn’t transfer like we hoped, I had a lot of fun.”

Taking to the tricky ¼ mile during qualifications, the Janesville, CA driver would battle suspension issues as she would time her BC Motorsports/Blevins Commercial/Pizza Factory backed No.1b machine in 12th fastest in her qualifying group.

Placing her in the sixth row of her heat race, action would be fierce on the tight knit quarter mile and Blevins would actually feel contact from another competitor as she gave it her all trying to navigate forward. With the contact hampering her a bit, Blevin’s would finish 13th and find herself in one of the night’s twin ‘C’ Main events.

Lining up in the fourth row of her ‘C’, Blevins would turn in some nice laps on the extremely slick racing surface. Battling with drivers like Kirt Organ, and Dustin Golobic, Blevin’s night would ultimately end with an 11th place finish.

“I am just extremely thankful and blessed to do something I love with my family,” Blevins added. “We are going to keep at it, and hopefully improve against the tough field in a couple of weeks in Petaluma, CA.”
