PETERSEN MEDIA- With Indiana Midget Week invading the Hoosier State, it also brings a week of sprint car action, and Chad Boespflug was in action for three of the four nights picking up a win, and a third place finish.

“After the rough time we had in Pennsylvania it was great to get back to Indiana and win a race right off the bat,” he said.

Finding himself on the pole of the feature event at the Lincoln Park Speedway in Putnamville, IN on Thursday night, Boespflug was hard on the throttle in the Hazen No. 57 as he quickly went to the high, scary side.

On the rough and heavy track as a product on Wednesday night rain, Boespflug was a machine on the thick cushion, as stayed glued to it all night en route to his second victory of the 2014 season.

“We earned the pole and our game plan all night was to run the top,” he said. “With most guys using the bottom, I think we could have contended for the win even if we started back a few rows.”

With Hazen having obligations on Friday night, they duo returned to action on Saturday night at the Lawrenceburg Speedway.

Lining up eight in his heat, ‘The Flug’ rallied his way up to a third place finish, putting him in the fourth row of the feature event.

From the seventh starting spot, Boespflug got up into the fourth spot, but as the laps clicked down he was running low on fuel.

A late restart saw Boespflugs machine stumble on take off, and as he tried to nurse his machine to the finish, he ended up getting into the wall, ending his night.

“We were pretty good at Lawrenceburg, and it is a shame we got a DNF,” he explained. “We easily had a Top-Five car but with the track being hammer down, we burnt through a ton of fuel, and I messed up trying to baby it home.”

Sunday night the scene shifted to the always-exciting Kokomo Speedway. Picking up a heat race win, Boespflug lined up for the feature event in the second row.

Running with the lead pack all race long, Boespflug tried all of his tricks trying to grab the top spot, but in the end he crossed the stripe in the third spot, ending his week with a podium run.

“We had a really good week, and I can’t thank Paul and the guys for everything,” he said. “I wish we would not have had that blemish at ‘The Burg’ but those things happen sometimes.”

With it being Midget Week, Boespflug also had the chance to climb back aboard the RAB Racing machine he piloted at the 2014 Chili Bowl.

“I have to thank the RAB Racing guys for the chance to go double-duty over the weekend,” he said. “It was a little rough going from my first time in a midget at the Chili Bowl, to my second time being at rough, and heavy Lawrenceburg. Our goal was seat time for myself, so we were pleased with how things went.”

Chad would like to thank Midwest Shades, ButlerBuilt, Creative Finishing, Bell Helmets, Hinchman, Wilwood, Shaw’s Vintage Stuff, Bud’s Auto Sales, Physical Medical Consultants, K&N, and Weld Wheels for their support.
