PETERSEN MEDIA- With Mother Nature playing hard ball in the Knoxville, IA area, Tim Kaeding and his Lunstra Motorsports team made the decision to tow to Haubstadt, IN to take on the World of Outlaws after the Knoxville Raceway was rained out for the third consecutive week.

“I have to thank Dave Lunstra and the entire team for making the trip to Haubstadt, IN so we could actually get a race in,” TK said. “We had a good night going, but some bad luck took us out of a potential strong finish.”

With past success at the Tri-State Speedway, Kaeding entered the event looking for a strong second night aboard the Lunstra Motorsports No. 3 machine. Timing the Dammer Trucking/Folkens Bros. Trucking/Sioux Falls Ford backed entry in 18th fastest, Kaeding would finish sixth in his heat race, forcing him into the Last Chance Showdown.

Starting on the front row of the LCS alongside Shane Stewart, TK would settle into the second spot, as he chased Stewart across the line, and transferred the Yager Agriculture Supply/Matt’s Repair/Octane Ink backed machine into the 40-lap feature event.

Lining up in the ninth row, Tim Kaeding used his past experience at the track to cut through the field, as he moved forward rapidly. Working into the seventh spot by the 27th lap, Kaeding would have a brake issue, and would spin his machine out on a restart, and bring his night to an end.

“We had an awesome racecar, and this team deserved to have a strong finish with the World of Outlaws,” Kaeding said. “With only two races under our belts together, I am very confident in this team, and am looking forward to putting more races together if Mother Nature lets us.”

The Lunstra Motorsports team would like to thank Dammer Trucking, Folkens Bros. Trucking, Sioux Falls Ford, Yager Agriculture Supply, Matt’s Repair, Octane Ink, and Trac2Trail Arctic Cat for their support in 2015.

ON TAP: TK and the Lunstra Motorsports team will be back in action with the NSL this weekend as they take to the Eagle Raceway on Friday night and the Knoxville Raceway on Saturday night. Sunday night the team also plans to kick off the Huest’s Speedway 410ci winged sprint car season.
