Bubba DeCaires 13th During Return to Dale Miller Motorsports Entry

PETERSEN MEDIA- Jumping back aboard the Dale Miller Motorsports No. 4SA machine on Saturday night after an extended break, Bubba DeCaires would have a strong night that culminated with a 13th place finish at Placerville Speedway.

“It was great to get back in the winged car after being out for a while,” Bubba DeCaires said. “We timed in well, got into the feature, and kept our nose clean which was a bit challenging on Saturday.”

DeCaires got his night off to a really nice start as he timed the Thompson’s Auto/RedHawk Casino/Dale Miller Septic, Inc. backed No. 4SA sprinter in seventh fastest in time trials with 24 cars in action on this night.

Lining up in the second row of his heat race, the Elk Grove, CA youngster would hang on to finish fourth and make his way directly into the 25-lap feature event where he would take the green flag from the 11th starting position.

Slipping back to 16th in the race’s opening laps, DeCaires would settle in as he worked his way forward. Able to stay out of harms way during a wild lap eight restart, DeCaires would find himself up in the Top-10 when the race resumed on the ninth lap.

Battling hard with some seasoned veterans on the immaculately prepared racing surface, lap 13 would see him slip up and fall back to 15th. Still poised and calm, the youngster would battle for 13th in the closing laps.

With just five laps to go in the race, DeCaires would win the battle and get the position for good as he closed his night out with a 13th place finish.

“Overall I am pretty happy with how the night went considering how long I have been out of the car,” DeCaires said. “I feel like with more laps I can continue to improve. I really have to thank Dale Miller and his team for this opportunity. It has been a blast and a great learning experience.”

The Dale Miller Motorsports team would like to thank Thompson’s Auto, RedHawk Casino,  Dale Miller Septic, Inc, El Dorado Hills Landscaping, Anrak Corporation, Frank’s Body Shop, Wion’s Powder Coating, Walker Performance Filtration, Factory Kahne Shocks, Smith Titanium, King Racing Products, A.R.T.
