PETERSEN MEDIA: The month of July has been busy for Andy Gregg and his Guts Racing team as they have already done a bit of racing.

“It has been a busier start to a month than usual for our team, and I have to thank the guys for working so hard for me.”

Dating back to 4th of July weekend, Gregg balanced racing on two occasions with enjoying the holiday with his family.

Running with the Sprint Car Challenge Tour at Stockton Dirt Track, Gregg would get off to a slow start aboard the GUTS/Angius and Terry LLP/Capitol ACE Hardware entry as he timed in behind the heat race inversion in his group.

Finishing in the sixth position, Gregg would line the Ice House Resort/CTL Forest Management/ARP Enterprises No. 16 machine up in the fifth row of the “B” Main.

On the extremely slick Stockton Dirt Track, Gregg would have his elbows up as he was able to race his way to a fifth place finish and move into the feature event.

Lining up in the 21st starting position, Gregg would get going early on the slick surface as rubber went down on the speedway quick. Going where others were not, Gregg would earn Hard Charger Honors as he worked his way up to finish in the 10th position.

The very next night, Gregg would follow the SCCT to Petaluma Speedway for another night of racing action.

Racing his way to a second place finish during heat race action, the driver known as “Guts” would earn a spot in the all-important Dash. Finishing seventh, the Diamond Springs, CA pilot would take the green flag from the fourth row for the 40-lap feature event.

Running well inside the Top-10, Gregg would run into some troubles as he would get upside down and bring out the red flag.

Able to make repairs in the work area, Gregg would make the call to restart the race, as he would finish in the 16th spot.

“We have a couple of weekends off now, and it will be good to regroup and refresh some of out equipment after a busy couple of weeks,” Gregg said. “Again, huge thanks to all of my guys for their continued effort and hard work.”

Andy would like to thank GUTS, Angius and Terry LLP, Capitol ACE Hardware, Ice House Resort, CTL Forest Management, ARP Enterprises, Ervin Sales, Broadband Agreements, Russo Insurance, Kelly Moore Paints, Cal Pro Paint and Construction, Triple X, Wilwood, FK Shocks, FK Rod Ends, K&N,  King Racing Products, BR Motorsports, Amerikote, Pony Express Service, and MF Inc. for their support in 2017.

ON TAP: Gregg will take a couple of weekends off before heading to Fernley, NV on July 29th.
