Canadian Nationals Champion Again

PPM-678x381

PETERSEN MEDIA- Returning to Ohsweken Speedway to compete for his second Canadian Nationals triumph, Parker Price-Miller and the Hill’s Racing team were successful as Price-Miller scored the big win on Saturday night putting his name on the trophy as a two-time event winner.

“It was a good weekend for the race team and I have to thank Mile Hill and Hill’s Racing for the opportunity,” Parker Price-Miller said. “I kind of had to make the calls for myself all weekend long so I was a littler nervous but practice on Thursday really got me comfortable and gave me a nice set up.”

During Friday night’s Twin-15 features, Price-Miller was able to do a little moving and shaking as a late run saw him work the Townline Variety entry up to finish second to Mark Smith, giving him some more confidence heading into the big show on Saturday. .

Lining up on the front row of the feature event, Price-Miller would find himself in a torrid battle for second with Jonathan Preston before a series of events on lap two slowed the pace of the race.

Back underway, Price-Miller would close on race leader Chuck Hebing and in traffic, the Kokomo, IN pilot would take command of the race on the sixth circuit. Continuing to lead the way, a caution on the 14th lap would put the field back on PPM’s rear bumper.

Back underway, Hebing continued to chase after the leader, but Price-Miller had a strong car on this night and continued to open up the gap as he got closer and closer to his second Canadian Nationals win.

A late restart put Sam Hafertepe, Jr, and Mark Smith right behind PPM, and with the veteran standout breathing down his neck, Price-Miller would remain calm and collected as he fended off their challenges and raced his way to the big win.

“Trevor and Jimmy built me a great car, and Trevor, Cam, and Nate Ackland were really helpful all weekend long, and I have to thank them as well,” Price-Miller added. “All in all it was a great weekend.”

Price-Miller and his team would like to thank Townline Variety, Chalk Stix, Indy Race Parts, Bell Helmets, and PPM Titanium for their support.
