Carrick Fourth at Macon Speedway

PETERSEN MEDIA: Back in a Keith Kunz Midget in the state of Illinois, Tanner Carrick had a good run as he charged to seventh on Friday night before a 4th place run on Saturday night capped his weekend.
“Friday night we were really good from the back of the pack,” Tanner Carrick said. “Saturday I started on the pole, but restarts just were not kind to me. Still, great to get back in the top-5 to close our weekend out.”
Saturday night at Macon Speedway, Carrick would get the night started by flexing some serious muscle in his heat race. The Lincoln, CA pilot had his elbows up as he forged his way to the point and picked up the win.
Moving into the feature event, Carrick found his KKM No. 71K machine on the pole for the 30-lap contest. Slipping back to second when the race came to life, Carrick began chasing after Cannon McIntosh while also dealing with his teammate, Logan Seavey.
With Seavey able to slip underneath him, Carrick continued to hold down the final spot on the podium as the race clicked laps off in torrid fashion. Slipping back to fourth, Carrick would close his weekend in the fourth spot.
Friday night Carrick and the KKM team were also in action as they invaded Belle-Clair Speedway in Belleville, IL.
Lining up in the second row of his heat race, Carrick would falter and finish in the fifth position which put him deep in the feature event line up. Taking the green flag from the 15thstarting spot, Carrick would get going in the right direction in a hurry.
Maneuvering his way through traffic, Carrick would find himself inside the Top-10 and looking for more as the end of the race drew near.
Continuing to charge, Carrick would close Friday night out with a very strong run through the field to finish seventh.
“We have been so fast lately, and our car has been fun to drive,’ Carrick said. “Thanks to all the guys for all of their hard work on my car. “
Tanner Carrick and the Keith Kunz Motorsports team would like to thank Craftsman, CVC, TRD, Spike Chassis, Cemex, Arai, and Shell Shock for their support.
