PETERSEN MEDIA- Though the rigorous World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Schedule gave drivers and teams one last off weekend before the upcoming World Finals, Carson Macedo was having none of it as he headed back to his native California and picked up second and sixth place finishes with Tarlton Motorsports in Stockton, CA.

“It is always great to get home, and get back to where all of this started,” Carson Macedo said. “Big thanks to the Tarlton family for giving me the chance to get another couple of races in, it really is a blast racing with Paul, Tyrone, and the Tarlton family.”

Despite some issues arising throughout the night in both the 360 and 410 car, Macedo was still able to put on a show and thrill the fans he once raced in front of on a weekly basis.

After timing the 360 in fourth fastest aboard the Tarlton and Son, Inc./Executive Auto Sales/Pabco Gypsum backed entry, Macedo would finish second in his heat race and line up 11thin the feature event.

Showing some serious veteran savvy at the Stockton Dirt Track, Macedo was able to carve his way through the field as he would his way up into a spot on the podium.

Working into third, Macedo would try and track down the lead duo of Shane Golobic and Rico Abreu, but just didn’t have enough laps to do so as he capped a great charge to finish third.

Getting off to an auspicious start with the KWS, Macedo would end up timing in 14thfastest in time trials.

Able to fix what ailed them in qualifications, Macedo was simply on a terror in his heat race. Going wherever he needed to go, Macedo would thrill the crowd as a last lap pass would net him the win.

With points qualifying drivers for the KWS Dash, Macedo would find himself on the outside looking in with his qualifying effort and would grid the field from the 14thstarting position.

Some pre race track work made the opening portion of the race pretty single file, but as it started to blow off, Macedo was able to work through the fray. With passing in the KWS feature at a premium for the most part, the Lemoore, CA driver would still pick up some positions as he closed his night out with a sixth place finish.

“We had some little things really set us back throughout the night, but it is part of racing,” Macedo said. “Still, had a blast racing with these guys, and looking forward to getting back out and running the new Tarlton Motorsports midget in a few weeks.”

Tarlton Motorsports would like to thank Tarlton and Son, Inc., Executive Auto Sales, Pabco Gypsum, Bandy and Associates, All Star Performance, and BG Lubricants for their support through the 2019 season.

ON TAP:Tarlton Motorsports will return to action at Arizona Speedway November 15thand 16thwith the USAC National Midget Series as Carson Macedo will pilot a new Tarlton Motorsports midget.
