PETERSEN MEDIA- With the World of Outlaws still idle before resuming their 2020 campaign, Carson Macedo took the opportunity to return home and race with Tarlton Motorsports as they battled with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour all weekend long.

“I can’t thank Tom and Tommy Tarlton, as well as Paul Baines and Tyrone Tyra for everything this weekend,” Carson Macedo said. “Tom and Tommy have always gone above and beyond to give me opportunities to race and I appreciate that so much, and Paul and Tyron work so hard on these cars and they are so fun to drive.”

Friday night in Merced, CA the World of Outlaws Rookie of the Year would advance from fourth to finish third in his heat race before a second place run in his qualifier lined him up in the seventh starting position aboard the Tarlton and Son, Inc./Executive Auto Sales/Pabco Gypsum backed No. 21 machine.

On the tight confines of the Merced Speedway, Macedo was able to move forward despite being in dense traffic for much of the night. Working towards the Top-Five, Macedo would engage in an entertaining battle with Andy Forsberg in the final laps as the duo battled for the fourth position.

Able to use the bottom of the speedway and in the big infield berm to his advantage, Macedo would make a late move that netted him a fourth-place finish at the line.

Slated to run at Placerville Speedway on Saturday night, Mother Nature would have other plans as rain washed the event off the schedule, and the team opted to make the trip to Petaluma Speedway on Sunday for one final night of action with Macedo before he returns to his Kyle Larson Racing team.

Picking up a second-place finish in his heat race, Macedo advanced into a qualifier where his fourth place finish placed him 11th on the starting grid for the 30-lap feature event.

Going to work on the famed Petaluma gumbo surface, Macedo would quickly crack the Top-10 as laps clicked off in extremely fast fashion. Continue to slowly work his way through the Top-10, Macedo would close his weekend back home out with a seventh-place finish.

“It was kind of an average weekend for us, but what a good time we had,” Macedo said. “It is great getting back and racing where this all started with the Tarlton’s. It is just a blast running with family and friends. With the Outlaw schedule, I don’t get the chance to very often, but really appreciate the time I do get, and can’t thank Tom, Tommy, Paul, and Tyrone enough for all their hard work.”

Tarlton Motorsports would like to thank Tarlton and Son, Inc., Executive Auto Sales, Pabco Gypsum, Bandy and Associates, All Star Performance, and BG Lubricants for their support through the 2020 season.

ON TAP: Tarlton Motorsports is set to kick their 2020 King of the West season off on Saturday night at Kern County Raceway Park with Spencer Bayston in the seat.
