Carson McCarl's 2021 Season Highlighted by Runner Up Finish in Huset's Speedway Standings

PETERSEN MEDIA- Continuing to verse himself in 410ci winged racing, Carson McCarl had a strong run in 2021 that saw him finish eighth in the 410ci season standings at Knoxville Raceway, and finish second in the 410ci standings during his first season at Huset’s Speedway.

“After the 2020 season was riddled with a lot of delays and unknowns due to the virus, it was great to run a fairly normal 2021 season and have some success,” Carson McCarl said. “It was great to run Knoxville weekly, and it was really cool to get our 410ci at Huset’s on a regular basis and run second in points after leading early in the year.”

With the Huset’s Speedway coming back late in the 2020 season with new ownership, 2021 marked the first full season the Brandon, SD track was back in action on a weekly basis. As the track roared back to life, 2021 would also mark Carson McCarl’s rookie season in 410ci action at the facility and he would adapt quite nicely.

In the end, McCarl would lose out on the championship to seasoned veteran, Justin Henderson, but the Iowa native was in the thick of things for most of the season as he led the way for a majority of the season at the South Dakota bullring.

McCarl’s season at Huset’s Speedway saw him pick up three podium finishes, six Top-5’s and 14 Top-10’s aboard the JETCO/Jeremy Scadden Construction/Blondie Motorsports backed No. 27 mount.

When the grueling season was complete, McCarl netted Rookie of the Year honors, and finished second in the standings just 36 markers out of the top spot.

Also competing at Knoxville Raceway, McCarl would have another solid year on the famed ½ mile speedway. In 410ci action, the Altoona, IA driver was able to rack up one podium, three Top-5’s and four Top-10’s as he ended up eighth in the standings.

While also dabbling in 360ci action at the famed facility at times, McCarl was able to tally a feature event win on June 18th, helping him jumpstart a strong summer that culminated with his fifth Knoxville 360ci Nationals start in the past 6 seasons.

“It was a great 2021 season, and I look forward to continuing to build this team and have an even better 2022 season,” McCarl added. “I want to thank all of our partners for their continued support, and want to extend a big thank you to Jeremy Scadden for coming on board with us as well and joining a really great group we have backing us.”

Carson McCarl would like to thank JETCO, Jeremy Scadden Construction, Blondie Motorsports, RobSeeCo, Prosper Real Estate Investments, DeBerg Concrete, City Vending, Deanfield Farms, Mobile Dent Service, Searsboro Telephone Company, Feese Family Insurance, Larry’s Window Service, Glanzer Trucking, Craig & Colleen Smith, Fred Pickard Motorsports, Aggressive Hydraulics, Octane Ink, Burnett’s Rock and Landscaping, and HRP for their continued support.

2021 BY THE NUMBERS: Starts-44, Wins-1, Top 5’s- 13, Top 10’s-21
