Chili Bowl Goes South In Blink Of An Eye For Price-Miller

PETERSEN MEDIA- Parker Price-Miller was off to a great start during his Chili Bowl qualifying night, but a late race accident during his qualifier, ultimately sank the Kokomo, IN driver for the rest of the weekend.
“We had a really good start to our week, and were sitting in a good spot, but I was in the wrong place at the wrong time, and just like that we were in a huge hole,” Price-Miller said.
Hitting the Tulsa Expo Center dirt on Wednesday night, Price-Miller lined his PPM Titanium Products/Indy Race Parts/Keizer Wheels entry up in the third row of his heat race, Price-Miller put on a masterful performance, as he stormed to a second place finish and gained valuable points heading into the qualifier.
Lining up sixth in his qualifier, Price-Miller continued to move forward, and looked to be in great shape for the feature as the race went on.
Running in the fourth spot, Price-Miller needed to finish in the top-three to earn a front row starting spot in the preliminary feature, but as he made his move, a car spun in front of him, and contact ensued.
With too much damage to his machine, Price-Miller retired from the race, and was forced into the B Main event.
Lining up seventh in the preliminary night B Main event, Price-Miller would work in side the Top-10 most of the race, and his ninth place finish would put him in a hole heading into Saturday night.
The final day of action saw Price-Miller line up in the F Main event, and he would need to finish in the top-four to keep his day going.
Starting seventh in the second F Main, Price-Miller would work his way forward, and contend for the transfer spot, but as the checkered flag waived, he crossed the stripe in the seventh spot, and his weekend was over.
“It was gut wrenching,” he added. “We went from having a great starting spot in our qualifying night feature event, and in good shape for Saturday, to being in the B, and buried in an F Main in the blink of an eye. You have to have some luck at this race, and unfortunately we had bad luck. I really have to thank this entire team for working so hard all week.”
Price-Miller and his team would like to thank PPM Titanium Products, Indy Race Parts, Keizer Wheels, CSI Shocks, Select Equipment, Wesmar Racing Engines, Esslinger, and Triple X Race Components for their continued support.
