Civil War Series pres. by Flowmaster To Open Gold Cup Race of Champions in Chico, CA on Wednesday Ni

(PETERSEN MEDIA- Aptos, CA, )- With just two races left on the 2018 Civil War Series pres. by Flowmaster schedule, the action picks up on Wednesday night as the series kicks off the famed Gold Cup Race of Champions on Wednesday night in Chico, CA at Silver Dollar Speedway.
With some of the brightest lights of the season shining on Silver Dollar Speedway, young Cole Macedo will continue his quest to become a Civil War Series Champion as he holds a 90 point advantage with just two races to go.
Another strong contingent of cars is expected to be on hand on Wednesday night looking to score a win during the popular event. Some of the drivers expected include Macedo, Dustin Freitas, Jarrett Soares, Koen Shaw, Burt Foland, 10x Series Champion and newly minted track champion, Andy Forsberg, Kalib Henry, former series champion, Sean Becker, former Wednesday night race winners, Mitchell Faccinto and Justin Sanders, Mason Moore, Shane Hopkins, Chelsea Blevins, Brent Bjork, Johnny Key Classic and HK Classic Champion, Tanner Thorson, newly minted Louie Vermeil Classic Champion Colby Copeland, Tim Kaeding, Bud Kaeding, Geoff Ensign, Shane Hopkins, and a host of others.
In the series’ most recent event, the 58th Johnny Key Classic did not disappoint. The 50-lap feature event came down to the wire as Tanner Thorson was able to pounce on Cory Eliason’s bobble and score the big win, as Shane Golobic and Bud Kaeding worked from 13 and 17th respectively to join Thorson on the podium.
In the lone appearance at Silver Dollar Speedway in 2018, Kyle Hirst was the class of the 40-car field as he was able to pick up the win during the Silver Dollar Fair over Colby Copeland and Tim Kaeding.
You must call the office to order reserved seating @ 530 350-7275. Reserve tickets are not available for purchase on line. General admission tickets which cover seating in rows A thru I in the south (turn-1) and north (turn-4) in the bleachers are on a first come basis, they can be purchased in advance by phone or on line. All reserved and general admission tickets will also be available at the gate each night starting at 5pm and from 9 to 4 daily in the ticket office the week of Gold Cup. Reserved seats are $25 for Wed with General Admission tickets starting for as low as just $15.
